Jameson Nathan Jones – Of Past & Present
A short record we’ve been enjoying this year is this Modern Classical EP from Jameson Nathan Jones, a composer from Mississippi. The five pieces are short or radio length but delicately weave a gut-wretchingly beautiful story. The piano notes and searing cello strings ache with the latter being provided by Otavio Kavakama. There is also some light ‘electronica’ moments in the form of light beats and glitching percussion. This one’s a ‘pay what you want’ so you can technically download for free if you like.
